I haven’t decided if it is a good shot yet but the scene caught my eye immediately – someone thought it was B&W until they seen the hint of blue sky top left. So If I have challenged someone all the better.
Yes Gunta it was the broody sky which drew me in and the glinting light on the water, one of those occasions where the tripod was needed to try a few more variations.
I’ve never seen the bridge from that angle although I’ve driven over it many times. Have you ever seen the Moray dolphins there? I always hope I’ll be blessed with a sighting when I drive over it but so far no luck. Lovely shot, it is a beautiful bridge.
I hadn’t seen the bridge from there myself and had it not been for the sky I probably wouldn’t have bothered either but I am glad I did.
I had only seen the dolphins on 2 occasions over a3 year period until very recently. The place to go is Channory Point (will see if I can find an image for you) which is about 3 miles up the firth to the East (towards Lossiemouth) it is here between Fort George and Channory Point that the Moray Firth narrows and my last 3 visits there has been several dolphins playing.

Most of all I love the broody skies, but I’m also fond of suspension bridges. That’s a really pretty one you have there.

Nice sky here.
The sky is amazing. Could stare at that all day.
