Bow Fiddle Rock, a large rock about 50 feet high just off the coast. The quartzite rock has a large sea arch, which somewhat resembles the bow of a fiddle, which has crashed into the Moray Firth.

The lighting’s beautiful, what a striking photo.
yes it was all about the light but not sharp throughout
Beautiful Scott!
A pretty amazing location best light when I have been there.
Lovely light well captured Scott.
mainly on previous visits it has been poor light or a bland sky – so this was a treat
Strange and intriguing rock formation. Very lovely shot!
it is amazing and the formation is not obvious from this angle. I was forced here due to the sun location.
Love the warmth o the sun in this.It is only when you have a close look on the seagulls you realise the largeness o it .
The scale is frightening – you see it from side on (but that is a sunrise shot) it is like a large starship (if you know what one of those are ) lol
Beautiful lighting, Scott! Only in Scotland
You see I cant imagine that is the case (I know what you mean – helped by our northerly location) there must be other similar locations in similar northern and southern locations. Certainly the Falklands has similar light and 4 season’s in one day.
