Possibly one of the most specular sight’s I have ever witnessed, the rainbow was almost missed because of the quality of the existing light and reflections.I think I would have to place this in my top three personal favourites………….

Stunning colours and I love the rainbow!!
Yes agreed colours were amazing – also the feeling of space
Has given me a real buzz
I think the rainbow is okay as it is. So it doesn’t dominate the whole shot and ties into the beautiful scenery. It is an absolute beautiful shot!
Honestly Nicol was just one you had to be there and feel – it was wonderful.
It was certainly a very magical moment.
Wow!! Beautiful rainbow
As soon as it appeared I saw myself walking into it… Yep; I walked on the water and straight across to land and kept going around to the right. What a wonderful walk I had, Scott! That sky goes on forever… and I didn’t miss the rainbow, either…! Gorgeous shot, Scott. You should be proud!
Very proud and glad you enjoyed the walk – it has real space in it so much going on with the light – can still remember looking over my shoulder and thinking got 5 mins plus of this amazing
Wow Scott! This is a true stunner! You should stop whatever you are doing and get a BIG print of this up on your wall immediately!
I will have to save up the pennies for that one Phil – great response though – thank you
Amazing… beyond all the superlatives I could think up. I think this is the best I’ve seen yet (and it was worth holding my breath for.)
I think I must reblog…..
Well I got 10 people link in from your reblog so thanks very much Gunta – your last reblog was extremely helpful too
More than happy to oblige… but also well-deserved!
Don’t miss the compliments that were added at my site – from some who didn’t venture over here I ‘spose.
Reblogged this on Movin' on and commented:
This one took my breath away! I couldn’t help myself… had to reblog.
taking ones breath is an excellent reaction many thanks Gunta (especially for the Reblog)
Been there a couple of times, its a nice place, good capture
Cheers and thanks for your comment
Yes it was thank you Amy
Fabulous photo, Scott.
Thank you so much – still buzzing
Amazing – you couldn’t ask for more than this!
perfect assessment last 2 visits have offered improving prospects but – I doubt if I will see her better than this.
Glencoe is impressive on any day of the week but to capture it like this, with that rainbow, is superb! You must have been chuffed to bits.
completely and utterly chuffed to bits haven’t stopped smiling since and to get this response on the blog even better. Had a great couple of weeks photo wise just back from Glen Affric wow what a location – got some cracking reflection in the pipeline.
Wonderful, I can’t wait!
Amazing. Truly amazing. Fantastic photograph!
Cheers Rob a wee peach really chuffed with it.
You got to see the ‘start’ of the rainbow; not many people can say that. I wonder what would have happened if you’d got over there?!?
the pot would have come in handy
This is stunning! I have never been able to capture the place like this. None of my photos have done it justice but you’ve managed it!
Thanks – I am really proud of it – I suppose it is all about the light and capturing what you are presented modern equipment helps immensely.
It’s a beauty! All my pics from that area were very colorless (cause of the weather & season). Next time I go, it may be closer to the Autumn season, to catch the purple of the thistles & heather.
You are right autumn offers the russet tones of rotting ferns and low sun only the second time I have seen it like this myself but the rainbow topped it.
What an amazing photo!
Wow Scott, that’s definitely being in the right place at the right time. Stunning
Sorry dont know how I missed this Claire thanks – it was a dream tbh
That is being the right photographer in the right pace at the right time. Well done on a stunning image. Landscape photography to aspire to.
Now Rachel, with comments like that you are welcome back – I was very fortunate
