Not as dramatic as some of my recent images but I like it’s subtle and varied light sources, the two bursts of light on the island and the hint of some special light in the distance. My next post connect’s the two images and demonstrates how radically different images can be achieved by using a variety of locations and lenses.

I think that is dramatic, I love the lowering sky. Where is this?
Appin, Lorna near Castle Stalker
That sky is definitely dramatic, great capture.
Thanks Claire, watch out for a connection to the distant light – well worth seeing
I could almost feel the wind against my cheek!
Good that is not easy for me to convey in a 2D image but it was chilly I recall
I had a feeling it was chilly – I could see it in your photo, which was amazing, as usual!!!!
Very broody and charming… and (ahem) you don’t have to keep trying to outdo yourself.
It’s just a different sort of beauty.
Always trying to improve Gunta and yes it was extremely blustery but that makes for changing sky’s the 2 light sources ion the island were gone 2 secs after I spotted them.
I find skies like this,unlike others,very
soothing..Standing,watching the clouds flowing ,waiting for the right moment to open up and letting the light through..
Wonder what was so special,or perhaps you,ve revealed that already ?…
The clouds moving through at pace opens up opportunities frequently – but you have to be quick – still never boring. Yes the light patch in the distance I used in an image I posted on Facebook – going to dig it out and post it to connect the two images – you have been getting some great reflections to recently.
Knew which one you were referring to hit like then so I,m sure it,s not gonna miss out here .Yes,has been great although it could have turned out better if I started to take the tripod with me for my latest “priceless view”
That’s really pretty, and yes, dramatic, too. All that’s missing is a little cottage on the island
Wonderful light and shot
