I have posted over 500 images here on WordPress most are dynamic wild Scotland with some fantastic light. This image however is probably at the other end of the spectrum – an underwhelming subtle hue of pink and blue on an abnormally calm summer’s evening. Take time to look at the subtle hue and reflections within this almost Turner like effect.

I simply love this one… all my favorite colors in the spectrum! And, of course, cloudy skies and reflections. Who could ask for anything more?
Thanks Gunta – you always come up trumps when I am never sure about an image. I am trying shots which are a little out of my comfort zone. I am attempting a little bit of stretch. Apologies for not being around so much recently but lots going on at the moment and photography has had to take aback seat – will catching up over the next few days hopefully.
It’s always good to push the boundaries. You’ve been missed.
I would have to disagree with you, not underwhelming at all. On the contrary, I think this is absolutely beautiful, and very calming. 500 images posted? Wow! And it’s not as if some of them are even mediocre. Amazing job!
Subtle hues work here Scott, I’m liking it!
Ah yes, we are obviously channelling each other’s blogs today, or something. I think sometimes one can end up overlooking images like this in favour of more obviously impactful shots but perhaps these are the ones that we will want to come back to. Lovely mood and subtlety.
well I cannot deny it has been sitting in the ‘B’ bucket for a while – must review the archives more
