Napoli – Thunderstorm   4 comments

Another pretty bland view which to be honest I wouldn't give a second glance towards unless I was witnessing this incredible surreal lighting situation where the sun is setting behind me generating this intense backlight against a stormy sky and it was being punctuated by lightening bursts being filtered by the cloud - One of the most dramatic light dances I have ever witnessed.

  1. Skies like that are beyond thrilling. I’ve wanted to catch some lightning streaks off the sea, but never had the courage…

  2. Very atmospheric, Scott. I like the warm colours with their limited palette, and how somehow the clouds reflect the structure of the trees below. The best bit is how the sunlight is reflected so strongly of some of the buildings in amongst all that brooding dark, very striking. We get that a lot here overlooking the town in the evening sun. Marvellous to look at every single time, we never tire of the view.

  3. What an amazing sky, wish I’d witnessed that one.
