For the the Scot’s amongst you or indeed those who steep themselves in Scottish Culture. This is the scene for Cult Scottish TV comedy about the lives of two OAP’s Jack and Victor and their views on how it used to be in the old days and how bad it is now. For those whom haven’t seen the program you will just have to enjoy this high-rise reflection and long for summer to return.

Sadly I often find I need subtitles for Scottish TV.
well this would have you in bits subtitles or not http://youtu.be/UA-_0dg_kaE it is an OAP comedy show
love the crisp blue hues both on the water & in the sky
aye, you wouldn’t know it was central Glasgow a quiet gorgeous canal system surrounded by horrific 60s architecture.
The last TV series I saw which took place in Glasgow was the BBC’s “Lip Service”. And that was ah, well, interesting for sure.
Well I don’t know ‘Lipservice’ was it the usual seedy Glaswegian piece, Still Game is full of mirth and wonderful weegie humour – even if you don’t get the colloquial stuff it would make you smile – http://youtu.be/UA-_0dg_kaE (just cut n paste) Merry Christmas
Lip service was a bit seedy, kind of a ladies who like ladies type of theme.
I’ll check out Still Game.
Thanks Scott
Stick with it – u will take time to gauge the characters then you will be hooked on Scottish self deprecating humour
How did you make that look so pretty? I am looking forward to these greens of summer again.
It was simply a perfect day – auto setting if I remember – lazy me
Too big to see on screen
Nice one, lovely reflections
Hey how are you Isobel still taking images yourself?
I don’t know the show but I enjoy this image. It’s interesting too for the juxtaposition of beautiful lock gates from a bygone era when function wasn’t divorced from style and the rather less attractive but functional block which I suspect was built during the architectural black hole years in the mid 20th century.
