I use Instagram for some fun and this week with emerging policy amendments – the ‘IG’ community spoke with a firm voice and apparently we were listened to – we shall see

  1. Your photography is stunning, Scott. Pure magic. Thank you for inspiring me onward on my own photographic journey. Seasonal blessings.

  2. Great shots. What I’m hearing is that Instagram made some minor concessions, but it’s following the same pattern as FB in pushing for whatever it thinks it can get away with (and likely will continue to do so).

    • less worried over the sales bit than the spam issues

      • I think I’m simply getting too old to get sucked into all the frenetic activity of the “social” media…… :(

      • I was very involved but I am streamlining – no facebook, stumble upon etc etc just WordPress Instagram and Twitter and they all work for each other so not frenetic. Everything works on my phone or one here so it is easy. The blog probably takes most energy but the reader has simplified things immensely – also slightly fewer posts have worked too.

  3. Hi Scott

Here is a counter point that suggests this particular saga is not quite done yet. We’ll have to see what happens when the ‘revised’ terms are released.

These are some really good images – are these shot straight with your phone, or are they from a DSLR and imported?

    • Rob I regurgitate my Blog posts as IG – I sync them on to my phone (over 600 available currently) 300 posted on IG including some iPhone shots too – it draws quiet a bit of traffic to my sales and blog – not to worried about the IG policy more concerned with the spam aspect (driving me nuts)

  4. I learn something new every time I stop by….thank you.

  5. Fabulous pictures Scott. To think that Instagram feel they can just take ownership of such images is quite unbelievable and incredibly arrogant but it doesn’t surprise me. I will be interested to see how this develops.

  6. A wonderful, varied and inspirational collection Scott. Where was that churchyard shot taken?

  7. Lovely photos, especially the coastal scenes and the shadowy loch and mountains. I have to say that I don’t think your pics need the Instagram effect on most occasions! Although the churchyard pic looks ‘vintage’ and very atmospheric. Instagram’s announcement re. copyright is outrageous! I hope that justice prevails.

  8. Great stuff Scott! Despite not being particularly fond of flowers, I keep coming back to the second one.

  9. …as long as you’re sure, Scott. These images are phenomenal.

  10. Una belleza de fotografías, me encantan!!

  11. Fellow bloggers of the world unite! I have selected yourself and ten others for the prestigious Liebster Award wear your badge with pride.
