Some changes then – I have altered the name of the blog – have no fears your subscriptions etc are all intact – in changing the name I am aiming to build my Google SEO. I thought this particular photograph suitable for this change as it is the sea lock which is located at the junction where the Moray Firth and Beauly Firth merge and you can enter the Great Glen onwards ultimately to Loch Ness (home of Nessie). In summary the lock is at a crossroads just like myself. One journey ends and another begin’s …

  1. The reflection is so…surreal, almost like painted. What a beautiful photo, Scott!

  2. I can die for this, I mean to sail there… seems so beautiful so beautiful… Thank you, love, nia

  3. I really like your new look blog Scott, I think it’s a good improvement. That photo is yet another stunner, you continue to amaze me.

  4. Good luck with your SEO, even though I don’t understand how it works. :) Love your photo and your new look blog.

  5. Sensible move, Scott, and a beautiful photo to complement it. Good luck with it all!

  6. Great photo – I love the lines. I also like the blog name change if for no other reason than I don’t have to try to remember what Scott Marshall called his blog (I always had to look it up). With the new name we will all be expecting even greater photography. Did I accidentally just put pressure on you?

    • my first uncontrolled blog grin of 2013 Lyle – brilliant – One of the reason’s I changed it was I doubt very few people understood ‘Lathail’ it was Gaelic for daily – and I moved my second blog to become a archive gallery. But in the end it was too smart and I don’t think most people got it – so I decided a rethink was in order – thank you and Happy New Year – Scott

  7. Fantastic symbolism…. wishing you all the best at this crossroads of yours! But waiting for a shot of Nessie…. ;)

  8. A perfect metaphor for a crossroad in life, Scott…!
I love your new name; it speaks of a quiet and earnest desire to become your new image…!
So many new things to come for you, Scott; of that I am sure….. ;)
As for this image; it got an immediate ‘Oh’ from me. That means it ‘hit that spot’ – you know; the one that says this image is balanced…! ;)

  9. Beautiful space in this image. Good luck at the crossroads!

    • Rachel – space hits it on the button for me – I am spoiled by the large expanse of water and great beaches (all of which are on very shallow gradients) which generate the fabulous reflection and ultimately the feeling of space. Here however the space has not been created – i just is spacious – I do enjoy the Firth areas.

  10. Love the new-look blog – a great showcase for your images.

  11. Love that reflection of the sky on the water.
